Dave
Schwensen has designed and instructs courses in Business
Communications and Presentation Skills for Cleveland State
University, Youngstown State University and other "halls of
higher learning." As a talent representative and
entertainment consultant, he has planned and scheduled events
for corporations, professional associations, social groups,
colleges & universities, theaters and festivals. He has been
a professional speaker, consultant, trainer and workshop leader
since 1994.
Dave
is the author of How To Be A Working Comic: An Insider's
Guide To A Career In Stand-Up Comedy, (Back Stage Books,
NYC), and Comedy FAQs And Answers: How The Stand-Up Biz
Really Works, (Allworth Press, NYC).
Though
not a stand-up comedian, his insider's knowledge of the
entertainment industry was earned as Talent Coordinator for the
television show, A&E's An Evening At The Improv, and
the legendary Improv Comedy Clubs in Hollywood and New York
City. While in this capacity he also acted as a comedian
consultant for many television and film productions. Included in
this list are The Tonight Show, Late Night with David
Letterman, The Today Show, Comedy Central, HBO, MTV, Disney,
Paramount and other major television networks and film studios.
As a nationally recognized humor and comedy coach, Dave's
workshops are sold-out events from New York and Philadelphia to
Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Dave
is an award-winning humor columnist and entertainment journalist
with articles published in the United States, Canada and Japan.
His reviews, interviews and behind the scenes exclusives have
included entertainers such as Paul McCartney, Bill Cosby,
Britney Spears, Ray Romano, Garth Brooks and too many other
celebrities in what is meant to be a short introductory bio!

pop culture historian, his third book, The Beatles In
Cleveland: Memories, Facts & Photos About The Notorious 1964
& 1966 Concerts, (North Shore Publishing), has
landed on numerous best seller lists, including the national Top
Forty on Amazon.com for Biographies & Memoirs, Composers
& Musicians, and the Number One position for Items Sold In
Northern Ohio. For a magical history journey back into 1960s pop
culture, Dave offers entertaining, energetic and often humorous,
(see his above books as reference for that final descriptive
term!), program titled Beatlemania On The North Coast
that includes a rare memorabilia and concert films of The
Beatles.
Tired
of making his hometown a vacation spot every year, Dave
relocated from Hollywood to the South Shore of Lake Erie. His
current inspiration and frequent cast of characters for his
award-winning weekly newspaper column, Something To Laugh
About, include his wife Debutant Deb, sons Dangerous
Paul and Chaos Kevin, and a large dog named Snickers who is fond
of eating television remote controls.
His
fourth book, Father's Days... And Nights: Humorous Tales
from the Frontlines of Fatherhood, (North Shore
