BOBBY COLLINS

Bobby Collins has earned a name for himself as one of today's leading comedic talents. Whether it's the local comedy club or the main showroom in Las Vegas, Bobby brings heartfelt humor to all of his audiences. His charismatic charm enhances a stand-up act that blends witty characterizations and hilarious observations - and is the inspiration for his two popular comedy CD's: Bobby Collins: On The Inside and Bobby Collins: Out Of Bounds. Both are currently available in stores.

A native New Yorker, Bobby had climbed the corporate ranks of Calvin Klein to become a vice president. Using his innate ability to schmooze, he talked his way onto the stage at the legendary comedy club, Catch A Rising Star, and continued his act until he arrived on the stages of Las Vegas. Bobby has had the privilege of opening for such Las Vegas powerhouse entertainers as Julio Inglesias, Cher, Dolly Parton and the legendary Frank Sinatra. Now, he headlines in Las Vegas and Atlantic City as well as concert halls and clubs throughout the country.

Bobby soon found himself on television as well. Chosen personally by Rosie O'Donnell to replace her as the host of VH-1's Stand-Up Spotlight, Bobby received rave reviews and became an instant hit. He earned a CableAce nomination in 1994 and an American Comedy Award Nomination in 1998 for Best Male Stand-Up. His other television appearances include HBO Comedy Showcase, A&E's An Evening At The Improv, Showtime's A Pair of Jokers and various television series including L.A. Law and Sisters. Additionally, Bobby is the only celebrity spokesperson who has appeared in two national television ad campaigns for CERTS breath mints. Yes, he was once "The Certs Guy!"

Even with being on the road nearly every weekend, Bobby is a very dedicated husband and father. Bobby believes in strong family values and his dedication to family was put to the test with the birth of his second daughter, Madison. As Bobby explains, "When God gives you an angel with a clipped wing, what an honor. He, (God), doesn't give you anything you can't handle." He continues to support the special needs of his own daughter as well as those of other children with his involvement with various local and national charities. As with his first comedy CD, proceeds from the release of his second are being donated to charity.
